My mission in life is to inspire young minds to understand themselves and the world they inhabit. I do this through teaching robotics.

My series “UNDERSTANDING THE BASICS” is designed to give a good grounding in the foundational concepts of robotics; including electricity and how computers work. 

I then expand on this, through the building and analysis of real robots. Each robot project will introduce new coding, electrical concepts and components.

I believe parents understand the importance of preparing their children for the future. Many sign their kids up for coding classes where they end up moving blocks around on a screen, or spending a fortune on overpriced Lego kits. While no experience is a waste, I believe true understanding comes from an appreciation of the fundamentals. How things work at it’s most basic level. The more we understand the higher the resolution of our experiences.  

I use real robots coded in the same language robotic engineers use (C++ and later Python).  

My motivation is to inspire and teach younger generations. I would do this all for free if I could but until we live in a better world I sell Robot Kits to pay the bills. I would appreciate your support by buying one, however the learning material will always be free. I will constantly be improving both the content and presentation (video series coming soon). I want to reach as many age groups as I can, so the explanations and analogies may target 12 year olds but the content would be useful even to university students. 

I encourage parents and older siblings of younger kids to build the projects with them. You are never too old to learn! I am happy to assist via email and Whats App.

For those in need of face-to-face learning, I host Workshops at my home workshop in Cape Town (Deep South) and provide mobile workshops to schools and clubs as well.
